First, they would need to do a feasibility study on your sugestion and get 62 signatures before it could even begin. So, it needs to get out of its bureaucratic colonial based methods in order to become more productive and amenable to the idea you have suggested.

Bangladesh government should arrange a competition all over the world asking participants to come up with a brand name.

The prize money should be a prodigious amount with huge marketing and press release all over the world.

Yeh exactly, I am suggesting to follow the “The best job of the world” strategy. It will kill the snake and keep the stick intact.

Bangladesh will get the best brand name and enormous amount of publicity around the world.

‘Undiscovered Gem of Asia’ should be the right brand! Prof Yunus himself is the poster boy of poverty and his name in no way adds to positive image. So, the name should be kept at bay.

Hi, rumor says, government launched this campaign in a hurry. Rumor says, only a 2 day meeting with some old caps of the cabinet, decided on this “Beautiful Bangladesh”. Moreover, these people only consulted with some of old guys from one of the ad agencies, who barely understands the concept of “Country Branding”.

Rumor says,their initial proposed tag line was “Golden Bangladesh” inspired by our national anthem (Rabindranath). Thank God, they decided not to stick to their first idea.

Bangladesh should expose her as a “Green and Blue heaven.” Its a country of rivers, trees and fields. I think the unique specialty of Bangladesh is her six seasons. In other countries the picture of seasons vary but not in an extent like in Bangladesh. So, besides the other issues showing investment opportunities or conditions, Bangladesh should show her natural beauties…beauty of seasons, beauty of rural Bangla and of course the beauty of the largest sea shore and the biggest mangrove forest.
